We are sincerely grateful for the many ways you’ve helped the school community throughout the year. You’ve brought fresh ideas, curiosity, laughter, a love of learning and a wealth of diverse skills. You’ve demonstrated first-hand to your families that together, we can make a difference. Thank you for building strong networks and for spreading kindness – your involvement is what makes us the exceptional community we are!
Fresh Air and Fun
Looking for a way to help out and maybe enjoy a little fresh air at the same time? Look no further! We’d love your help at the year-end Freezies on the Green or at the start-of-year Back-to-School BBQ – or at both events. These are easy ways to lend a hand, and allow for a lot of socializing. We’re also looking for Hot Lunch Helpers for next year.
- June 20, at Freezies on the Green: what could be better than putting a freezie in the hand – and a smile on the face – of a child. Or, actually, hundreds of children.
- Late August and early September, at the Back-to-School BBQ: we can always use more helping hands to help setting up, grilling/prepping food, serving during the event and cleaning up/taking down afterwards
- Starting September: Hot Lunch Helpers – much of this work can be done outside of school hours and from home; there are many different ways to help out
Signing up doesn’t mean going it alone! We’re a friendly bunch and provide guidance and support for these roles. We’d love for you to be involved. For more information, reach out to: spg@selkirkmontessori.ca.

- June 20 (last day of school), at 3:00: Freezies on the green, everyone welcome! Come wish friends and teachers a happy summer!
- Sept. 3, at 11:30: Back-To-School BBQ – come catch up with friends in the September sun
